Communication is always difficult between new couples. My advice is to embrace the different conversational relationship you have now, and see it as a positive development.
After all, if your boyfriend spoke to you as if you were still just friends, he might tell you about other girls he wants to fuck, or the fact that he is undergoing a sexuality crisis, or that he has diseases. Luckily now you are dating, those things are never going to come up. Whew.
